> 3 dayI got this laptop during the Cyber Monday sale as my first ever computer that doesnt have Windows on it. My desktop at home has Windows 10 on it but I havent turned it on yet since this Chromebook arrived last week since I wanted to give the Acer a fair chance and see how much I really miss Windows 10. So far, there hasnt been anything that has made me wish I was using Windows 10! The only times where I have felt a little bit inconvenienced is when I need to use Microsoft Office products. I say that I was only slightly inconvenienced because I am still able to use all of the Office programs (in multiple ways actually, now that there is Google Play Store support), they are just a different layout than I am used to and may not have some of the more extensive features that the Windows version has. For the vast majority of users, however, there will be a small adjustment period and then itll be fine after that.

> 3 dayOut of the box you realize why this Laptop/Tablet has this price tag. Its very well built and feels extremely solid and its fairly thin to boot. The screen size is perfect and the battery life really is 10 hours. I love the lighted keyboard and the touch screen plus the stylus for detailed work is very nice. My wife is more of a Tablet user so this works great if you want an Internet surfing machine that is comfortable for people who like tablets and yet it can also be used for hard core work that is easier done with a keyboard on a laptop. The mouse pad section on this unit is one of the best I have ever used on a laptop. Not only is it big but it is just so responsive and smooth. I also love how they tucked the stylus under the front edge, it took me a few minutes to find it.

> 3 dayUnless you are a computer genius save your money. You cant use word, its hard as f$@% to save files, editing pictures is almost impossible unless you buy new software, of course it has to be theirs. Google has spent a lifetime trying to corner the market on computers and now they have figured it out. Oh, and of course there is no manuel so you can ask for help but good luck figuring out what its telling you. I would save your money because now I am going to have to buy another laptop that is compatible with word

> 3 dayWould not connect to my printer which is less than a year old. Otherwise, Chrome is so much better that Microsoft product. Chrome uses a different operating system. Good streaming and Internet. All my documents were saved from when I last used them.

Greater than one weekI had researched for a while and seemed all my problems would disappear switching my kid to Chrome book and this Acer laptop. After playing with it and doing the folding and just manipulating it, the thing reset itself. Using it normally and now delicately a few times I noticed fans going wild and some lag. Becuase of remote schooling I wasnt going to go through the song and dance they put you through but my hopes of just working and my life becoming easire were completely dashed. Massive dissapointment, never buying ACER ever again. Then the other thing to note if switching to chromebook for school or a group is.. they will own your laptop, period.. you cannot switch to other accounts or use it for any other functions or apps except what they choose. The argument is its safer and... etc but bottom line is you cannot use it freely yourself for all the other 18 hours a day. Not even creating a seperate account with a password for the paretn or anything logical. Iwished I had just gone to best buy, bought a regualr windows laptop, downloaded chrome and be in control of my hardware while having somewhere / someone to deal with the fact I ofcorse as my luck has it, were sold the lemon... The chromebook constraint problem is not the reason for raitng but the fact i got sold a lemon is

> 3 dayThis is my daily driver, I use this CB(Chromebook) every day for 8-12 hours of work and even game on it. 8 GB ram is perfect for a CB. I have no slowdowns everything that I throw at it just works, need MS Office? You can use the Android or Web versions. I use Linux, so I have my office, cad, project planner all free 100% open source. I can access office docs exchange files back and forth with clients, coworkers this is not a problem. Im able to run some Windows programs using a beta emulator. Wow! Good things are coming to ChromeOS even MS is going to use the Chrome engine in the next version of their browser. To unlock the full power of this system please google how to install the Linux software store, then its just click and install.

> 3 dayI bought this convertible laptop/tablet primarily for displaying music on a stand. I wanted the widest screen possible when the screen is vertical (higher than wide). I also wanted to change over to Chrome and planned to use it as my main computer. Its well made and solid. The touch screen is great, although Id like to be able to adjust the sensitivity. I also wanted more onboard storage than most other Chromebooks have. The keyboard works well, although of course its not the same as a good separate keyboard. All in all, its worth the premium price.

> 3 dayOur son set this up in less than 30 min and was able to start working on his homework with it. He likes the touch screen and most of the kids in his 7th grade class have Chromebook laptops. I would suggest going with more expensive FHD version as the 1080 HD isnt as sharp as whats more standard these days. Processing power is more than enough to do everything he needs to in 7th grade. Of course he also uses to play Minecraft as well and says it works well for that. All his Bluetooth devices, mouse headset, etc. work great with it. Overall very pleased with this touch screen laptop and would recommend for 5th grade and above.
