Initial set-up:

Do not rely on this for a main computer. 2nd Acer product to fail. Only a few months old and already had a major crash that resulted in not powering on, logging in and deletion of all downloads. Not thrilled and now I am told there will be a restocking fee to return this? Devastated.

Bought for my three year old because I wanted to get her used to using a computer with a keyboard and mouse versus a touchscreen tablet. Also let’s me continue a nice tradition, my parents got me a computer when I was five or so—back when they cost way more money to buy!

I purchased this device for my son, for college. It’s perfect for his needs. He writes papers, does research, even has several windows open at a time, with no slow down in performance.

NIce size and easy to use. Has everything I need in my retirement.

The technical name is deadlock. This is a unix based system which is supposed to be immune from these types of problems. However this particular machine loves to go into deadlock. Its difficult to get out of because there is no task manager like Windows. You have to turn it off by holding the on/off button. The last time this happened, when trying to get back into Google (necessary since Google is embedded in this device and there is no run-around). Google asked me for my present password and MY OLD PASSWORD!!!!!

I use this laptop on trips. It has no ability to download programs like word processors or any other program. With this economical laptop you can check your email, bank balances, check websites, buy airline tickets, etc. It is great to take on trips.
