> 24 hourOrdered an Acer here on Amazon and it was defective, worked with Amazon tech support and then worked with Acer to try and resolve the problem, It either was just defective or the Tech support at Acer didnt know how to help me. The computer just would continue to freeze if left unattended, I would have to do a Hard Shut down and Start it again. It happened many time in the course of 3 days. I returned it to Amazone and I have received my Full Amount back on my credit card. I ordered another new computer and went with ASUS this time through Amazon with a Seller, and low and behold this computer was defective also. While workring on this brand new computer for now reason the thing would go into the BIOS mode. WHAT the heck. It should not do that. So again I called Amazon Support and we got in touch with ACER support after a couple of days and the thing still preforming the same going into BIOS, the last support persons says it is probably the Motherboard. Ok this one is being sent back right now and I am waiting for my refund money from this seller. I have documented the problem and have a case number with ACER so I should receive my refund once they get the returned computer back. Ok now I have just received my THIRD NEW COMPUTER again going with ACER as I have had them before and feel they are good. So Far So Good. It has been up and running about a week and so far no falty things happening. I will say this has not been a fun journey as I had to install my prograoms I use 3x unistall 2x from the bad computers. Restore my data from my Cloud Back up 3x which takes about 3days for each computer. Had to uninstall my data 2x which took time. So dealing with this computer stuff for over a month. I hope I am good now, maybe i can get some work done.

> 24 hourI have had this computer since January 2022. It is now November 2022. In August, something went wrong and it started randomly not charging. Initially we thought it was the charger but after purchasing and trying several different chargers and taking it to a couple professionals to fix we learned that the problem is actually inside the computer. I have learned to pull the charger into strange and (what I think) are unsafe ways to make it charge. MOST of the time this works. The charger itself is weird. The part that plugs into the machine is tiny and frankly hard to find if you need a replacement. But the part that plugs into the wall is heavy duty.

> 24 hourI was bit disappointed when i first got, but after a few updates I find it pretty amazing. It does a very good job with AutoCAD and Prokon. Runs very smooth with light gaming.

> 24 hourThe screen was just too small for me. Other than that, it’s a sleek computer with lots of great features.

> 24 hourPurchased this upper end Acer laptop in July 2021 for our son to use his freshman year in college. He took excellent care of it, using a padded sleeve to carry it, and used it gently, but on April 22, 2022 it simply was dead when he opened it for class in the morning. Perfect timing for it to die with his last week of classes and final exams coming up. 9 months worth of use for this is just terrible service life for the cost. This was our 2nd Acer laptop purchased over the past couple of years (the other ones mousepad failed in a year), but I will be avoiding Acer products from now on. Highly disappointed.

> 24 hourIve owned a number of Dell laptops and attempted my most recent upgrade with a Dell as well, ordering it directly from dell.com. But it arrived damaged and Dell refused to send a replacement in a timely manner, so I canceled the order, decided to look elsewhere, and ended up ordering this unit from Amazon. So far Im quite pleased with it. Seems to be equally good in every way to the Dells that Ive had in the past, but for slightly less money. My first laptop with fingerprint reader and Ill not go back to not having one - super convenient, and the reader on this unit seems to be quite responsive - the need for re-tries is rare. The verdict is still out regarding if this unit will hold up over time but it seems well-made and sturdy so my hopes are high. If it does hold up reasonably, Ill definitely look first to Acer for its ultimately replacement.
