> 24 hourI am a big fan of the predator series. I purchased a predator 17x 4 years ago. It has worked great for me. Its actually still kicking, but no longer holds battery so I know its approaching the end of its days. Decided to upgrade to a thinner, more mobile model. Ordered the Triton 300 from these folks. It arrived on the early end of the shipping window. Boxed well to protect in shipping. System information confirms they in fact put in all the upgrades listed for my purchase. Took the laptop out to a local terrace to get some class work done. No glare on the screen. Battery life is not amazing but it holds if you are doing basic browsing and typing/emails (so as long as graphics card is not too involved). 33 percent went about 2-2.5 hours with basic use. For a laptop this size and as power as is, that is decent battery life. You should NOT expect much battery life from any thin and powerful gaming computer, especially not at this price range. You cannot have it all - without dishing out the big bucks. The old predator had a mouse pad turn on and off button, which would occasionally glitch causing the pad to not work until you pressed the button for off and on again. Triton 300 does not have the button but it also seems to not experience the mouse pad glitch anymore. To me that is a win win, the button was not all that useful anyway. I like the fact that they moved the speakers from the bottom front of the computer to the top side; however I think the speakers are a bit weak sauce. Its good enough as long as your environment is not too loud. Distance traveled for the keyboard is not super high but definitely better than a Mac and respectable. It feels tactile and you know when you have actually pressed the button just by touch. Its perfect for me, about 1-1.5 mm. If it is in your price range, I say hit that Order button. Well worth. It genuinely packs the power of a solid gaming desktop, but you can easily put it in your back pack and take it places. Doesnt get much better than that.
