6061 T6 Aluminium Metal Sheet 12 x 12 x 1/8 Inch Flat Plain Plate Panel Aluminum Sheet Plate Finely Polished and Deburred

Not as advertised. Ordered needing 12x12 as one of my finished dimensions is 12. Received a piece of aluminum that is 11 7/8x11 7/8.

As far as a flat 1/8 aluminum goes, it meets all expectations. Issue is its not 12x12, its 11.875x11.875. Otherwise, no complaints.

The plates were what I was looking for but had to spend a pretty good amount of time with a flat file and a die grinder to get the edges cleaned up enough for my application.

A bit smaller than 12”, but if you don’t need it to be exactly 12” then you will be happy with it.

I have a high precision mini-mill. Most of the time I use a high precision vise as a work holding device so I dont use the T Slots in the table ad like to keep the chips and coolant from accumulating down in the T Slot grooves and on the way covers to save clean up time between jobs as well as wear and tear on the machine and operator. With this in mind I designed and built the table covers and the back board you see in the photos. Its all bolted together with SST fasteners (mostly 8-32 and 10-32) and I used 1/8 aluminum plate. It comes protected with a very heavy plastic cover adhered to both sides which I left on throughout the layout and machining process to protect the surface finish from scratches while in process. I did all of the machining, edge polishing & beveling, etc. and the surface protecting layer stayed on beautifully until I was ready to peel it off. There was no adhesive residue after removal. How do you like it?

It comes with protective layers of plastic on both sides, which is appreciated. The machine edge is straight but has lines on the edge from how it was cut, which I dont mind but some may.

Its 12x12x 1/8 aluminum. Comes with a plastic protection.

As expected, the panel is of high quality. Using it to construct an inspection panel for easier oil filter removal on 2011 Subaru STi. Very pleased with purchase.

These sheets are flat, as one would want if machining cutouts.
