> 3 dayIf your O-Cedar mop bucket stops spinning, it’s most likely this bearing is the cause. Worked perfectly and prevented my wife from spending $40-$50 on a whole new mop system!

14-11-2024Works perfectly to repair o-cedar spin mop. Works like original bearing. Easy to replace, just pay attention to the direction of the bearing, as this bearing is a “one way” bearing and has to be installed correctly to work properly. There is an arrow on the bearing face that denotes the direction it should spin

Greater than one weekPrevious bearing lasted 1 year in my mop spinner. It rusted out because of high humidity and frequent washings of the whole spinner mechanism. A really unpleasant issue may appear once you replace the bearing and the spinner still does not work - it spins freely. It may be because axle has worn where the bearing grips it. The only way to fix is to replace the axle or to make the axle thicker. How? I spot welded in multiple spots a very thin strip of nickel (used to connect batteries by spot welding) wrapped around the worn out area, which made the axle thicker and allowed the new bearing to grip the axle properly. Hopefully this tip may help someone to extend the life of the mop spinner and not throw it away because of slightly worn out axle.

09-11-2024So like most my cedar spin mop stopped spinning. I was going to go out and buy a whole new set, but my husband insisted that we look for parts to replace the broken piece with. This is the perfect replacement, within a few mins my spin bucket was back to working perfectly if not better! It is easy to install, and you get extras if it happens again!

> 3 dayIf your OCedar Spin Mop Bucket has trouble spinning or doesnt spin at all when you pump the pedal, this is is the likely fix if all the gear teeth are good. I have a spin mop bucket that has been in use daily for well over a year. At first it started slipping then quit spinning at all. I took it apart and discovered the one way bearing was very very rusty and had failed. These are an exact fit. Tapped out the old bearing with a small punch and gently tapped in the new one. Also, one end of the bearing is stamped with numbers or writing. That end goes up into the gear. Do not lubricate the inside of the bearing. you can use a little petroleum jelly on the outside to ease assembly. It now spins like the day I bought it. Since it came in a box of six, I should be good for at least the next six years!
