My photo is simply just to show how clear the picture is, and to compare my 42tv below, to the size this is. I simply have it shining onto a cream colored wall and it is this clear, I would imagine on a white screen it would look even better. This has an auto focus that kicks in as soon as you turn it on, but it still needs adjusting sometimes depending on what you are watching. It came with HDMI wire and AV wire, so you can plug this directly into your devices. The issue with screen mirroring is that you cannot cast a lot from your phone, like Hulu, Disney, Netflix. Truthfully, only YouTube worked, so you would need to aquire a roku stick, or amazon stick, etc if you want to use these apps, or get a adapter for phone to HDMI. It also is rather easy to lose picture connection with screen mirroring, although the voice will still play. If you do anything on your phone, while it is mirroring, it typically disconnects the picture. Im not sure if I am doing something specific that is causing this or if its the unit, but it became annoying after the fifth time it happened. The volume is pretty good and at only halfway is more than plenty to hear what you are watching. But this is in my bedroom, so I cannot comment on what it would be like Outdoors or in a larger space. My biggest issue with this, is the lens cover. It is so snug in there, that I thought maybe you had to push a button for it to automatically open. This is not the case, and you just got to use your fingers to slide it to the side. Unfortunately, in my case, struggle to open and close it, and I smudged up the lens. I tried cleaning it, but I sort of just made it worse. So youre going to want to keep a lens cleaner nearby so you can do this if you have a mishap like I did. Truthfully, I think eventually the lens is going to get scratched because of how close that lens cover is, and how hard it is to open it, its sort of a matter of time. This is frustrating, as with something as expensive as this is, there should not be an issue that could cause damage such as this. As far as everything else, it connects to everything flawlessly, including the Bluetooth and screen mirroring, just with the screen mirroring its hard to keep it on. It did connect to my Wi-Fi, but that was off my phone, and my signal wasnt the best so it was a little bit glitchy. So I dont want to comment too much on the Wi-Fi except for it did connect without issue. This thing is also a little bit bulky, but I suppose if you want better its going to be bigger. Overall, this is the nicest projector Ive had, and I own quite a few. But unfortunately, the issue with the lens and knowing its only a matter of time before it gets damaged, I cant give this a five star. Not for the price that this sits at. If this was half the price, I could Overlook the lens, but anything this high, should be near flawless. I also wish, that if theyre going to supply HDMI wires and AV wires, then they should just Supply the adapter to connect the phone as well. Regardless, that wouldnt make me take away any points, just a thought I had. Overall, I would set this more at a 4.4 star, but I always round up or down. I will add, so far, if this did break, I probably would replace with a cheaper one, but thats simply because my needs are not a lot and very basic, which do not require more. If yours are beyond the basics, this is a good choice and worth it in my opinion. The last thing I will add, is the remote has a decent connection to the projector. My projector sits 4 feet above my head, and I found I kept pointing the remote towards the screen out of habit, and yet it never failed to work though pointing the opposite direction, so that is a good deal.

This is my first experience owning my own projector. Ive used them at work for years in conference rooms but never had the chance to take the large screen effect home to my house until now. This Apollo M40 projector appears to be a well made unit and were very excited to put it to use for many movie nights and sports watch parties in the future. I still need to get a proper project screen so my initial testing was done projecting onto a white sheet hung on the wall. This was definitely not an ideal projection surface, as can be seen in my pictures, because the light penetrated the sheet and illuminated the french doors on the wall behind the sheet while I watched my movie. For a size reference, the TV mounted on the wall is a 42 and I had the projector positioned ~8 feet away from the wall to achieve this projection size. After my first night of testing this projector here are my takeaways from it: Pros: Decent brightness - at 700 lumens of brightness this projector can be used in a semi-bright room during the day with shades closed (first photo of menu screen) but it really shines great in a dark room at night. My second photo shows the projector at at night but my screen (sheet) really ruined the performance of the projector due to the light bleed through of my screen. Autofocus works well - The autofocus on startup works well and I didnt need to do any fine tuning to refine it. If anything, the manual fine tuning adjustments to the focus implement too big of a focus change. If the projector gets moved/tilted while on it will automatically reinitiate a autofocus sequence on its own. Auto keystone correction works pretty well - the automatic keystone correction also works pretty well to correctly square the picture out if your project isnt pointed straight at your screen. It didnt get the picture frame perfectly level but it was close enough to still enjoy the viewing experience. Just remember that the more keystone correction you use, the smaller your projected image will be because it has to crop the image down to the largest rectangle that can be output without distortion. Simple to use interface - The main and setting menus are easy to navigate and remote control is also easy to use. The lack of advanced functions and features help make it so easy/simply because there is not much more to do other than choose your input source. Cons: Large project size - I was a little surprised by how large this projector is when I first unboxed it. I know its not advertised as being a compact/portable projector but this thing is till quite a bit larger than I anticipated. Lack of image quality controls in settings - The picture and color output of the projector is good but there is no way to adjust any of the image quality with this unit. The coloring may be too saturated for some people though I tend to like this look. Cooling fan noise - The cooling fan is definitely not quiet if you have the projector sitting close to you. Its not bad if the project is >5 ft away from you but less than this and I found that I needed to use the ANC on my bluetooth headphones to block out the fan noise while watching my movie. Has wifi but not a smart device - The projector has the ability to connect to wifi to enable AirPlay or Miracast but it has no other smart features/app. This isnt a deal breaker but if youre going to add wifi it seems like they might as well add the ability to just run streaming service apps directly on the projector. No storage case included - For the size of the projector I wouldve really appreciated a storage case to be included. Im hanging onto the original box for now because I dont want to damage the projector when its not in use. Overall Im fairly pleased with this projector and think Ill get a lot of good use out of it. With the current coupon offer, this projector is priced at ~$230 which seems very reasonable for the unit.

For the price you get hdr 10, auto focus and auto keystone out of the box. Thats not to dang bad. I also got the sound bar it can be split from sound bar to tower speakers. I will be recommending these products to friends. And these would be great for gifts to anyone that games or loves movies. Plug it in an it does the rest for you.

Picture quality is superior to others I have tried. It actual displays at 4K and the brightness is fantastic. The Auto Features work pretty well, but had to do slight manual adjustments with the remote. I have tried many projectors and definitely would recommend this one as this is the one I will be using moving forward.

From the nice professional packaging to the responsive remote, this is a nice projector. I have reviewed over 45 projectors since last year and this is a decent one. The sounds seems okay, the brightness is decent, and the remote is very responsive. I took off a star because the OS is rather basic and the audio could be louder. I found the autofocus to be decent but the auto keystone didn’t kick in. The remote is response, but a standard one for these projectors. I do like this projector, but wish it was a little brighter. At 100 inches with ambient light, it is okay, but not great. Overall, decent, but at this price point, $399.99 at the time of this review, it might be worth looking around before purchase. The auto focus is a nice feature, but not necessarily worth the extra $$. I hope this review was helpful!

This is a pretty decent projector that has auto-focus (which is nice) that produces a high-quality picture (especially on white backgrounds). The audio is pretty decent for most situations. The only issue I have is with the connections that seem to be temperamental at times and there seem to be issues concerning screen sharing when it comes to certain streaming services (but that may be me that is doing something wrong). I am still working on those issues and will report back once I have dependable workarounds. I do like the quality of the picture on this projector and is one of the better ones I have owned. Dont get me wrong, I think it is a great projector for many different uses as long as your expectations are not exaggerated. The remote is responsive and the overall performance is on par with my expectations. I did find the lens cap a little stiff and could see scratches occurring if you are not careful when removing it. The OS on the projector is rather basic, but it gets the job done. For a projector, I think this is a decent reliable unit and should fit your needs.

    Built well, easy to use

Will black spots appear on the projector screen?

The Apollo P40 has fully sealed optics that prevent dust from entering, so the black spots will not appear on the screen.

How to get a better autofocus effect?

Use autofocus function within 9.84ft and front projection. If exceeded, use the electronic focus on the remote control to focus.

Does it support mirror Netflix content from smartphones?

Due to HDCP copyright, the projector doesn"t support cast Netflix content from smartphones directly. Please use a TV stick, Chromecast, and Roku to enjoy Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime video.

Why is there no sound after connecting the TV stick?

Please disable the Dolby and DTS sound on the TV Stick "audio setting" menu.
