We got LED string lights from one of the big box membership stores. There must be something in the wire that’s mighty tasty to squirrels because they chewed off about 20 bulbs/sockets. To add insult, the squirrels TOOK OFF with them! (I found one buried in my compost pile). I zip tied this mesh to each down wire that connects the bulbs/sockets and so far the squirrels have left them alone (about 7 mos.). The mesh is very flexible and easy to cut, but be careful, the edges are VERY sharp!

Doubt the is 304 stainless it is very magnetic

We used this mesh to filter out bird seed from a drainage hole on an elevated custom seed shell catcher tray. Was easy to work with and adheres to glue if needed.

This is exactly what I expected when I ordered it. It is a very, very fine mesh. You do have to be careful in the handling because it is strong and can cut your fingers if you are not careful. I glue it into my planters to cover the drainage holes. It does allow a slow pass through of water but retains sand and dirt. Very effect in performing the task that I wanted it for. I have not seen any rust so far in my tests after about 30 days. It will not allow a fast pass through of the water, but that should be expected with this fine of a mesh.

I used scissors to trim it straight squares, didnt crumble or leave micro pins behind like other reviews said. Worked well for my project of headlight cap ventilation.

The flat surface of the mesh that should be safe to touch has tiny sharp elevations from poor manufacturing. Not pet safe. Do NOT apply in reach of children. It is VERY easy to cut yourself on the flat surface that SHOULD be safe to touch.

Although it does sustain heat somewhat it quickly turns black and ashy when used with fire. I researched the item and this was the item recommended as I was attempting to get some mesh to use with a heater, to give it an additional layer of protection within the gaps, but it lets off a stench one, and turns back and ashy. NOT the best product. Oh and not to mention when you try to cut it down to size, it becomes a very dangers product. I ended up with little tiny metal fragments in my fingers which were very difficult to remove. I finally removed all, but will not use product again.
