If youve never installed one before (I had never installed one before) its interesting to know that when you setup your device to connect to this thing youll have your router (for example named router) then youll have this extender (for example named router_extender) and youll set your device to connect to router_extender (or what ever name you choose for it) and youll have the device forget the actual router..... Some devices like lap tops or cell phones you can set to connect to the router OR extender what ever one youre closer to. Most of the devices I have at my home only have the ability to choose one.

14-11-2024This is an excellent product. Its installation and setup is very user friendly. Purchased to extend range from home office to garage. Signal was 1-3 bars with frequent dropouts.This extender was inexpensive, and the large proportion of positive reviews let me to purchase it. It was simple to set up, and when placed midway between the office and garage, the signal strength is four bars most all of the time, and dropouts occur only when a large metal object is in the line of sight path to the router.As a side benefit, the wireless signal in the kitchen has drastically improved, as the extender is closer to the kitchen than is the router.Downloading a wireless strength app helps find the sweet spot for the extender.PROSgreat made of best materials.great known brandSmall size, unobtrusive designbest pricingPlug into wall socketSimple setupCONSTwo way communication to router costs some capacity, but does not affect my usageNo network auto-selectThe products setup program is fantastic. Greater than one weekIve used this model of extender extensively in a business environment. So I naturally chose it again for my home needs. I would highly highly recommend it. best range, sometimes it slow when there are more than one person on hulu or netflix and one of the light go amber but for the most part a best product.

11-11-2024We bought a TV recently and hooked it up in my living room, about four feet from our wireless in the living room to our living room was enough that our wireless wouldnt work with the Apple TV in the living room. The product fixed that problem like a charm. We had to switch the settings off of HD, but I cant tell the difference. worth the money and solved my problem.

Greater than one weekI live in a long ranch house, with my cable modem at the front of the house. I had an Asus router midway that I was using as an extender. Kept dropping packets, video streaming was constantly buffering. I bought this and placed it in the same location and the difference is amazing! HD streaming no longer constantly stops to buffer. Setup could not have been easier. Highly recommend!

Reminder:
- The working status of the repeater can refer to its smart indicator light.
- WiFi signal booster is only limited to increase the coverage of the wireless signal, but not to increase the speed of the network.
- When the repeater expands the signal, it does not need to plug in the network cable. It can receive the signal of the router directly by plugging it into the socket, and transmit the wireless signal.
- When the repeater is unplugged or powered off after the setting is completed, it does not need to be reset. The original configuration information has been saved, unless you manually restore the factory state.
