They could be cheaper but I have no other source for bar stock without driving 100 miles. I make solar panel mounting ears from these, I cut them into 3” lengths and drill two holes jin each one 2” apart. Those screw onto the back of the panel and protrude enough that I can get deck screws into the other hole and affix them to the 2x4 mounting stringers.

Measurements are exact, metal is good, no noticeable imperfections

It will be used to repair the arms on my desk chair.
